Women in development(WID) was evolved during the year 1993 through the Canada-India Institutional Co–op Project(CIICP).
Women
In Development (WID) wing of MEI Polytechnic aims at addressing issues concerned
exclusively with girl students of the polytechnic. Programs organised are
specially formulated to create necessary awareness, inspire and motivate the young
girl students. This year’s programs are as listed below.

based counselling and guidance facilities for the girl students are available
throughout their stay in the polytechnic. WID coordinator and faculty of WID
team take up this work and outside professional help is taken if needed. Women’s
Day 2020 celebrated on 09-03-2020.
